Trucking and transport insurance in Spokane

Fleets, owner-operators and the cargo in between — written for the I-90 corridor and the weather that comes with it.

Filings and limits

Interstate motor carriers need federally mandated minimum liability limits with the appropriate filings on record. Intrastate Washington operations have their own requirements. Getting a filing lodged, amended or withdrawn on time is routine work but unforgiving about deadlines — a lapse can take your authority with it.

Non-trucking liability

Owner-operators leased to a motor carrier are covered under the carrier's policy while in dispatch and uncovered the moment they are not. Bobtail and non-trucking liability fills that, and it is the most common gap we find on owner-operator accounts.

Why the Inland Northwest rates differently

Carriers price for the route, not just the truck. Mountain passes, winter closures and long stretches of rural highway put this region in a different band from flat-country fleets. Documented driver screening, telematics and a real maintenance file are what move your number in the other direction.

Biggest exposures in this class

  • Winter collisions on I-90 and Fourth of July Pass
  • Cargo loss, damage and refrigeration failure
  • Non-trucking liability gaps for leased owner-operators
  • Federal filing and MCS-90 requirements
